Condo Part III

Upon reflection I am not feeling so negative about the condo being in a 55+ building. It's big and nice and really well set up and suited for me. I wasn't thrilled when I saw the floor plan but it's laid out in a way that I need and I like. I will be comfortable there. I could even see myself being happy there.

Let's hope now that my offer gets accepted. It's an outrageous amount of money and that makes me nervous. But will be worth it and give me a sense of security that I don't have renting.

Stay tuned...Condo part IV might be coming this evening as I continue to ponder lol

We couldn't get any pictures of the inside because the couple vacating it made some objections. They were so unpleasant (the relator was cringing afterward as they were not expected to be home for the showing). They are moving to Ontario to be near their grandchildren...the condo went on the market last week and my mom's friend who works real estate called her with the tip...which I am glad about. But I am heading to Starbucks in a bit and will see about getting some exterior shots.

  1. Well I think it's a very nice layout, quite open and should be comfortable. And owning beats renting any day. You can make it yours.
The 55+ thing? Maybe not what you think you want, BUT it will be quiet and you will likely make some nice friends. The neighbors tend to stick around and like to have friends where they live.
It's a great step towards a new beginning and being more comfortable. For various reasons we (collective for all people) don't always get to live where they's like to (I sure as hell wouldn't have picked Detroit for 14 years!), so try not to let that drag at you. YOU CAN PAINT - or better yet, watch someone else paint. The colors you pick.

  2. I like your new pad. I hope the offer is accepted and your meeting with the board goes well. I see there is a sun room for the cats.

  3. That;s great! Is in Garrison woods? Something happened to my Susan Boyles comments. When do you put the offer in?

  5. OK, the 55+ being senior living gets to me as I am only 2 yrs away from that! Weget along and I am not an old fart and I hope you don't think so either, lol

Lots of pluses and the paved sidewalks, etc sound wonderful.
