Things can never just be simple for me.

Setback with my eye. The appointment on Friday showed a suture became dislodged and caused an infection. Serious but not unheard of in this surgery. Fixable but it means even more eye drops and back to the dreaded patch for another couple of days. It should be cleared up by Monday thinks the surgeon. The good news is the problem with the suture did not cause the implant to move so its okay. I just need to really take it easy with my eyes for the next few days. And so what am I doing? I am on my laptop exactly what I shouldn't be doing. I am having somebody help me with reading and writing so I am not totally ignoring the doctor's advice. More craziness, one of the eye drops I am on has affected my eye muscles meaning my eye isn't really able to move. This is good for healing the affected eye but not great for my other eye which is being affected by proxy or what the surgeon calls sympathy. Eyes are fascinating and weird things. I am going to post more details about the actual surgery when I can because it was actually quite an interesting process. The next surgery should be the first week in May if my left eye heals as expected. Which it should. This is just a momentary setback according to the surgeon.

And so it goes. I am missing my twilight books.

  2. Brutal. Both that your eye is messed up and that you are reading those books. LOL. Seriously I hope you heal soon!
